On a personal level, I am happiest when I cook to my favourite music and when I am playing the piano. For me, creating a memorable meal is just as exhilarating as executing a piece of music beautifully.
My Chinese heritage means that to eat well is to live well and living well is the cornerstone to a healthy and happy life. Good food sustains our physical health whilst music evokes images of beauty that perpetuates peace and joy in our hearts.
Life is not about the length of our time but moments in time that give us peace and joy. By capturing these moments on this blog, I hope it will also help you to relive your moments in time that make life worth living.

This is wonderful. Thank you!
Very well said. This is one the best way to describe the essence of joy of life’s simple moments.
howdy, fantastic blog page, and a very good understanding of why you are blogging! at least one for my favorites.
I love this blog! And you write so beautifully! I actually found this blog by chance! Lucky me Keep up the good work!
Hi Kath, chandana, Curtis & JD’s mama,
Thanks for visiting our blog and hope you enjoy reading our posts
Very well put. My parents always encouraged eating well too, and I grew up with the whole family gathered around the dinner table for a home-cooked meal every night. I’m listening to Chopin’s “Fantasie” played by Yundi Li right now…a soothing melody after a long day of work.
Hi Ling, I agree its important for a family to have dinner together without the distractions of the TV each day. I love Chopin’s Fantasie in F minor too.
I cannot agree with you more!
Hi Quay Po Cooks, thank you!
Very well said, and I enjoyed looking through your blog. I’m a professional violinist in Los Angeles and recently started a food/music blog of my own. Care to follow each other? Look forward to seeing what else you have in store.
Hi Chopinand – You have a knack to make people feel good through your fun posts & sharing. Thoroughly enjoy it.
That is beautifully said. I may have to copy that and post it on my wall. I really like that.

Your blog is a wonderful find. We have a lot of similar interests – I could play piano and cook all day. Best, Alaina from Brooklyn.
Dear Alaina,

Dear Chopinand,
Are you nolstalgic about Malaysia that you frequently have to go “home”?
How often do you go back ?What do you do for a living?Ever contemplate having a
place there as a second home?
Also, what made you decide to stay in Australia?
I am in a similar situation and would like to hear your thoughts.

It’s a pleasure to be visiting again, top notch website.
I stumbled upon this website while searching for some restaurants. What a wonderful surprise to find your website! I don’t normally read blogs despite being a foodie. I have thought of writing one but don’t have time for it with many commitments. But I find that we have very similar interests, even the CDs, like Harry Connick Jr, Ella Fitzgerald and Chopin, that we listen to. If you ever organise a gourmet meetup at Sydney restaurants for your fellow subscribers, I would love to attend and share some food and thoughts. Happy blogging!
